Gregory Herrington

Gregory Harrington was born and raised in Tickfaw, Louisiana. He graduated from Jackson State University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 1997.  He was initiated in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity incorporated on November 20, 1999 @ 8:20pm to Gamma Eta Lambda chapter Austin Alumni, where he has served in many leadership roles. He is also the father of 2 daughters, Amaya Tryellle Harrington and Madison Symone Harrington. He currently works at Dell Technologies for almost 12 years, where he, currently, is a Channel Account Manager. He has led the Black Professional Alliance as the President and recently transitioned to the president emeritus. He has led the National Society of Black Engineers Austin alumni chapter as well as regional leadership roles. He’s won a number of awards with one being the 2011 leadership Austin Ascendant Award recipient. He’s a member of the 2006 class of Leadership Austin’s Essential Class. The Ascendant Award was mainly awarded for his great work with the Back To School Parade that he founded in 2008, where the mission is to celebrate education and the return to school in the form of a parade and to use the proceeds to purchase school supplies for those who need them. His gift for public speaking started as a young boy and has continued to thrive as a motivational speaker and Master of Ceremony.
